About the position

The Project Manager plays a crucial role in the product development team at PDI, responsible for driving innovation concepts from inception to completion. This position involves overall coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of product development projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy and goals. The Project Manager will manage project timelines, resources, and communication, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and maintain project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, including timelines, risk management, project budget, and communication.
  • Manage project scope, resource requirements, budgets, and timelines, and project status reports.
  • Drive day-to-day project operations across all functional groups related to goals and deliverables.
  • Provide project status updates to leadership at various meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate project information and documentation for new product development projects.
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on new product development and to resolve product technical issues.
  • Identify and factor risks into the project plan.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
  • Resolve project conflicts affecting goals and timelines.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in project management for product development, with a demonstrated track record of successful product launches and project completion.
  • 5-7+ years of applicable experience in a research and development environment.
  • Awareness of FDA drug product and/or medical device development and submission processes.
  • Awareness of Environment Protection Agency (EPA) product development process and submission.
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent, PM certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Manager) and project management software.
