About the position

The Project Manager / Product Owner is a key role within the software development team, responsible for driving the development and improvement of web-based platforms that enhance business success. This position requires a tech-focused individual who can manage Agile processes, collaborate with developers, and ensure project alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage sprints, epics, tickets, releases, QA, and software development plans.
• Manage Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence, and others.
• Create, assign, and collaborate on Jira tickets with the development team.
• Validate and QA that software solutions meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain Confluence documents for effective communication and collaboration.
• Recommend and implement software development process improvements.
• Work with designers or draft wireframes and workflows to improve technology platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Scrum/Kanban methodology and collaboration with diverse developers and business partners.
• Familiarity with complex products such as life insurance and annuities.
• Strong technical skills and ability to learn new tools and methods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with basic web technology concepts (HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, JavaScript).
• Ability to analyze data and understand basic data models.
• General understanding of application frameworks like Angular, Laravel, or React.
• Experience with UX design and prototyping.
• Knowledge of IDEs like Visual Studio or PHP Storm.
