About the position

The Project Manager / Project Engineer for Civil Site Development at Thomas & Hutton is responsible for overseeing civil site design and development projects, particularly focusing on water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure. This role requires strong client interaction and excellent communication skills, along with a solid understanding of project management in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil site development projects for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Produce site development plans and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Interact regularly with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
• Utilize Civil 3D software for design and project management tasks.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the design of public and private projects.
• Experience producing site design plans and working with residential, commercial, or industrial clients.
• Strong leadership qualities and understanding of business metrics for project success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working experience with AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Professional Engineer certification.
