About the position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Project Manager 3 to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in managing nuclear material inventory as a strategic asset. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with programmatic needs, performing data analysis, and developing procedures for nuclear material management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nuclear Material Management (NMM) program at LANL by overseeing nuclear material inventory.
• Collaborate with the NMM Program Manager to represent program objectives and goals.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and issues related to nuclear material management.
• Develop procedures for nuclear material owners to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Work with LANL Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure storage containers meet surveillance requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks to deliverables in collaboration with program office staff.
• Monitor and track cost, schedule, and progress against project milestones.
• Participate in special disposition projects requiring unique packaging solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of eight years of directly related technical and project management experience.
• An advanced degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred.
