About the position
The Project Manager for Public Works at BGE, Inc. is responsible for planning and designing water and wastewater systems, managing multiple project teams, and ensuring the quality and financial aspects of projects are met. This role involves supervising engineers and technicians, as well as maintaining client relationships, making it crucial for the successful delivery of municipal, residential, and commercial development projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan and design water and wastewater systems including modeling, pipeline, lift stations, and treatment facilities.
- Independently perform engineering assignments for municipal, residential, and commercial developments.
- Lead multiple project teams across simultaneous assignments.
- Manage the quality, timeliness, and financial aspects of projects.
- Supervise and mentor engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Partner with senior staff in maintaining and developing client relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Registered PE in Florida required.
- 8+ years of experience working in water & sewer system planning and design.
- Previous project management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2014, Civil 3D 2014 or newer.
Nice-to-haves
- GIS Experience preferred.
- Experience with Water Modeling Software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, or comparable) preferred.
