About the position
The Project Manager for Regulated Industries at SAP is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role involves defining project scope, planning, tracking progress, and managing resources while providing leadership to cross-functional teams. The Project Manager also engages in opportunity management, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication to ensure project objectives are met effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall lifecycle of projects, including defining, planning, tracking, and managing project objectives.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional teams to deliver project outputs on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and provide coaching to team members.
- Assist in the Opportunity Management Phase by contributing to proposals and project structure.
- Conduct project planning activities and manage execution according to the project plan.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure proper governance is in place to meet project objectives effectively.
- Analyze risks, establish contingency plans, and manage financial aspects of the project.
- Maintain project documentation and share lessons learned with the project management community.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of project management experience using formal project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in team building and leading project teams.
- Proficient understanding of SAP solutions and consulting business processes.
- Experience in managing issues, scope, and quality to ensure successful project completion.
- PMP certification or other relevant project management certifications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the Utilities industry.
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and tools.
- International implementation experience.
