About the position

The Project Manager for Research and Design Operations at Capital One will play a crucial role in leading complex projects and programs within the Design Chief of Staff team. This position requires a highly organized individual with a passion for design and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. The Project Manager will focus on driving key priorities for the design organization, ensuring projects are delivered on time and documented appropriately to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to project stakeholders, partners, and peers.
• Focus on programs that are part of the key priorities of the design organization.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
• Ensure projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and are delivered on time.
• Leverage problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
• Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
• Drive well-managed practices across the project portfolio.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of Project Management experience.

Nice-to-haves

• At least 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Resource Management.
• At least 3 years of experience in modeling and managing complex budgets.
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.
