About the position

The Project Manager for Research and Design Operations at Capital One will play a crucial role in leading complex projects and programs within the Chief of Staff team. This position focuses on program delivery that aligns with the organization's key priorities, ensuring effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process-oriented, and capable of driving change in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to project stakeholders, partners, and peers.
• Focus on programs that are part of the key priorities of the design organization.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
• Ensure project documentation and playbooks are designed and maintained for reuse and scaling.
• Leverage problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
• Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive program delivery.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
• Drive well-managed practices across the portfolio.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of Project Management experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of experience enabling Design and Research Teams.
• 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Resource Management.
• 3 years of experience in managing complex budgets.
• 2 years of communication and events experience.
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.
