About the position

The Project Manager provides consulting services for financial services clients, focusing on retail bank renovations across New Jersey. This role involves managing multiple construction projects concurrently, ranging from $50K to $5M, and encompasses all phases from initiation to completion. The position requires a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence in Linden, NJ, and site visits throughout the state.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all areas of project management for commercial real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Interface directly with clients to prepare project elements such as scope of work, resource requirements, cost estimates, budget, work plan schedule, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define project delivery resources and conduct requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
  • Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Track project progress and report status and variances.
  • Identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Mentor others and share knowledge within the function.
  • Model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and work to build consensus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in project management.
  • LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • Experience in financial services and MEP infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including MS Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • General knowledge of leases, contracts, construction practices, and ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
