About the position

The Business Program Specialist is responsible for leading the development and implementation of national and enterprise-wide programs within the Retail Change Office. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, monitoring, and resolving issues for specialized functional areas, ensuring that front-line colleagues have the necessary support and resources to manage change effectively. The position requires substantial knowledge and expertise in a complex field, integrating cross-functional understanding, and managing end-to-end functional programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of national and enterprise-wide programs.
  • Design, develop, implement, monitor, and resolve issues for specialized functional areas.
  • Manage cross-functional teams or projects with significant resource requirements and complexity.
  • Independently manage end-to-end functional programs and solve complex problems.
  • Communicate difficult concepts and influence alignment across senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute diverse programs to support business sales/service strategy.
  • Analyze data to inform priorities and initiatives, including post-implementation reviews.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of consistent processes and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and manage correspondence confidentially.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and/or 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple disciplines, strategy development, and consulting principles.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.
  • Ability to manage a budget and work within its constraints.
  • Skilled in mentoring and coaching others.
  • Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the banking industry and product/customer markets.
  • Familiarity with risk management environment, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in analytical software tools and data analysis methods.
