About the position

The Project Manager, Sales and Marketing Operations at Oak View Group is responsible for leading the creation and delivery of sales proposals, presentation materials, and special projects to support sales teams and drive business success. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects, improve processes, and foster a collaborative team environment. The position emphasizes strategic thinking, storytelling, and a commitment to excellence in project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead projects including the development of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Direct proposal kickoff and strategy meetings, preparing detailed plans and schedules.
  • Manage deliverables and deadlines by establishing project priorities.
  • Craft, collect, and edit proposal content to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Work with sales leads to incorporate win themes and value propositions into projects.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of templated content and graphic assets.
  • Participate in the presentation process, coordinating prep meetings and run-throughs.
  • Research and analyze trends to drive innovation in project delivery.
  • Problem solve independently and escalate roadblocks as needed.
  • Write persuasively and edit decisively to ensure cohesive documents.
  • Provide writing guidance to subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with Graphic Design/Creative Team to create client-focused design briefs.
  • Lead debriefs with project teams to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with team leads and subject matter experts to gather relevant information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in RFP response development and project management.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with a thorough understanding of grammar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with InDesign and RFP management platforms like Loopio is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple assignments.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours and travel up to 30%.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
