About the position

The Project Manager - Sales at Cummins Inc. is responsible for leading multiple sales projects from inception to completion. This role involves facilitating planning sessions, managing project budgets, resolving issues, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders. The Project Manager will also focus on risk management, resource allocation, and knowledge sharing to enhance project success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple projects from start to finish, facilitating planning sessions to define scope and objectives.
  • Identify, track, and collaborate with others to resolve project issues efficiently.
  • Monitor and communicate project status regularly to the project team, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Plan and monitor the project budget, conduct research and analysis, and contribute to the design and development of project plans and timelines.
  • Use quality tools to identify and manage project risks, working with team members to find alternatives or solutions.
  • Document and share team learnings with other teams, leveraging past experiences to enhance project success.
  • Maintain detailed project notes, databases, and other records, and communicate with the Project Sponsor and stakeholders on project status and assignments.
  • Identify and assign appropriate resources for project tasks, guide and coach team members through project stages, and provide developmental feedback.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, including written, listening, speaking, and presentation abilities.
  • Prior experience within the PowerGen industry and/or engineering is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated with experience demonstrating self-discipline in managing responsibilities and customer interactions.
  • Ability to manage projects with an engineering approach.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, BMS, QuickServe, Microsoft Office Suite, and CAD (CREO/Auto-Cad).
