About the position

The Project Manager / Scrum Master will lead Agile ceremonies and oversee project timelines and deliverables throughout the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC). This role requires collaboration across departments to ensure efficient project delivery while applying Agile, Iterative, or Waterfall frameworks as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology-driven projects and excel in leadership and communication, guiding teams to balance multiple goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee software delivery projects through all SDLC stages, leveraging project management expertise to align processes with Agile, Iterative, or Waterfall frameworks.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment with all stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and cross-departmental teams.
  • Guide and coach teams to align with project goals and agile practices, managing multiple priorities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategies that enhance project delivery, improve team velocity and product quality, and advance organizational objectives.
  • Actively manage resource allocation, ensuring that project teams have the necessary skills, tools, and capacity to meet project demands.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues with effective mitigation strategies to improve project outcomes and team performance.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal and external dependencies, actively removing blockers to enhance team delivery effectiveness.
  • Assist with project intake and governance activities, including ROI calculations and benefits realization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, project/program management, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in project management, including 3+ years leading technology projects and 2+ years supporting IT systems implementations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage at both technical and business levels.
  • Strong documentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in various project delivery tools like Jira, Confluence, and Rally.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, tools, and technologies (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, cloud platforms).
  • Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) for managing large and complex projects.
  • Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) packages (e.g., Salesforce, MuleSoft) is preferred.
  • PMP and/or CSM certification strongly preferred.
