About the position

The Project Manager/Scrum Master at TIU Consulting LLC is responsible for driving consistent project delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle. This role involves coordinating Agile ceremonies, managing project risks, and ensuring effective communication among project teams and stakeholders. The position requires a strong understanding of Agile principles and project management practices, with a focus on continuous improvement and team productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consistent project delivery through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, Story Refinement, and Release Planning.
  • Track and communicate project's progress from a schedule, cost, and risk perspective to the project team, stakeholders, and management.
  • Establish an environment where teams can be effective and help remove obstacles.
  • Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
  • Ensure a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team.
  • Track and report team velocity and other project metrics.
  • Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase productivity.
  • Assist Product Owner and team with Product backlog management.
  • Ensure teams are practicing core Agile principles.
  • Adhere to VDOT and VITA project management practices as defined.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of experience in project management and product management.
  • 9 years of experience in Agile methodologies.
  • 10 years of experience in software development life cycle models.
  • PMP and Scrum Master Certification (CSM) required.
  • Experience with SAFe framework required.

Nice-to-haves

  • SAFe Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Team Foundation Server, JIRA, Version One.

Benefits

  • Contract position with a pay rate of up to $60.52 per hour.
  • Expected hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
