About the position

The Senior Project Manager at POWER Engineers, Inc. will lead projects within the Food and Beverage sector, focusing on facility design and regulatory compliance. This role involves both project and client management, requiring strong engineering skills and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships. The position offers flexibility for a hybrid work environment, with the expectation that the employee resides within driving distance of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Find, win, and manage projects in the food and beverage sector.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients by evaluating and responding to their needs.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of POWER's capabilities and discipline resources.
  • Evaluate business opportunities and provide go-no-go evaluations.
  • Participate in the development of qualifications submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, and marketing communications.
  • Manage all sales activities through POWER's CRM system.
  • Maintain a general working knowledge of FDA, FSIS, GMP's, HACCP, and 3A Sanitary Design Standards.
  • Scope projects for all engineering disciplines and communicate that scope to internal team members.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related engineering sales and consulting experience or consulting project management experience in the food or beverage industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Sales management skills with a proven record of developing new accounts and closing deals.
  • Project management skills with a proven record of scope development and identification for various disciplines.
  • Proficient in the use of basic computer software.
  • Ability to travel as required, typically up to 30%.

Nice-to-haves

  • 15+ years of related engineering sales and consulting experience or consulting project management experience in the food or beverage industry.
  • PMP Certification.
