About the position

Ardurra is seeking a Project Manager / Sr. Engineer to lead projects within the California Water Practice in San Diego, CA. The role involves managing water and wastewater planning and design projects, leveraging existing relationships, and leading a capable design team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public works projects, particularly in treatment plants, pipelines, and related facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager on various water/wastewater/recycled water projects including treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.
• Plan, schedule, and track milestones, budgets, tasks, and activities.
• Prepare or oversee production of Preliminary Design Reports, Technical Memoranda Studies, and related documents.
• Perform research and analytical tasks related to water, recycled water, and wastewater masterplans, urban water management plans, and asset management plans.
• Attend meetings to discuss project progress and results.
• Actively manage assigned projects and perform business development activities.
• Coordinate with other leaders in the California Water and Public Works Practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of water/wastewater planning and design experience with public works projects.
• California Registered Engineer or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• State of California PE license is required or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire date.
• Bachelor's degree in civil, Environmental, or related Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
• Excellent technical writing skills for development of studies, engineering reports, and related technical documents.
• Ability to work efficiently within a predetermined project budget and schedule.
