About the position

The Project Manager is responsible for providing project management support and coordination to cross-functional project teams and clients, ensuring that project deliverables are accomplished as outlined in the project's development plan. This role involves leading project teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition. The position may cover various services including analytical chemistry, process chemistry, formulation development, and manufacturing, with projects potentially spanning multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Interact with business development, proposal writers, clients, and operational teams to onboard new projects.
• Identify resources required to support project deliverables and schedule.
• Track projects to completion and facilitate project team meetings.
• Update key stakeholders on project status and escalate issues as necessary.
• Understand project financials including budget tracking and reporting effort expended relative to the budget.
• Initiate change orders if required and coordinate with finance for revenue recognition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in the life sciences with minimally 2+ years of related industry experience for Project Manager.
• Experience managing projects preferred.
• Basic understanding of CDMO industry, Cambrex capabilities, and pharmaceutical life cycle.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
• For Senior Project Manager: 6+ years of related industry experience including at least 4+ years of managing projects, preferably as a Project Manager.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred for Senior Project Manager.
• Advanced understanding of CDMO industry and pharmaceutical life cycle.
