About the position
The Project Manager for Substation at Black & Veatch will oversee projects related to high, medium, and low voltage substations, focusing on the deployment of solutions in high load consumption and technology-driven industrial segments. This role involves managing project execution, ensuring safety, and interfacing with clients and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. The position offers a hybrid work environment with a mix of remote and in-office work, along with travel to project sites.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safety culture within the project team.
- Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals for services work.
- Lead project team in conceptual design and procurement phases of substation projects.
- Manage schedule, budget, and scope of services for projects.
- Interface between the client, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Work in both corporate and field environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience including high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage substations.
- Experience in multiple phases of project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant degree.
- PE, P.Eng or equivalent professional license.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with advanced manufacturing and generative AI computing projects.
- Familiarity with gigafactories, bio/ag tech, and data centers.
