About the position

The Project Manager for Supply Line at KONE is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating supply line projects to ensure they meet objectives within the agreed schedule and budget. This role involves managing engineering and supply responsibilities, ensuring timely and profitable delivery of projects while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Project Manager acts as a key contact point for project execution, collaborates with stakeholders, and oversees project variations and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate supply line project activities.
  • Ensure project objectives are accomplished within schedule and budget.
  • Act as the main contact point for projects in the execution phase.
  • Receive and book orders into the supply line Order Book.
  • Verify order information and confirm orders to the front line.
  • Manage project design quality, sourcing, and logistics planning.
  • Schedule supply chain activities across KONE.
  • Handle project variation and scope management.
  • Process clarification requests from frontline and involve necessary interest groups.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and distribute technical information.
  • Inform frontline about deviations in delivery operations.
  • Support Supply Line claims and make sourcing decisions for components.
  • Confirm material delivery times and transfer prices to frontlines.
  • Identify and facilitate project-related change management activities.
  • Share responsibility for project cost control with Front Line Project Manager.
  • Lead multifunctional supply project teams and manage project meetings.
  • Conduct project reporting, audits, and final closure activities.
  • Coach Project Coordinators/Specialists and participate in steering group meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Proficient in SAP and cost management.
  • Understanding of transfer pricing and delivery chain costs.
  • Competence in supply chain delivery processes.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong IT skills and willingness to travel worldwide.
  • Proven track record of improving project profitability and successful customer management.
  • Experience in cooperation with customers.
