About the position

The Project Manager specializing in Sustainable Building design & construction at JLL will be responsible for managing and delivering sustainability projects related to new construction and existing building operations. This role emphasizes collaboration, client satisfaction, and the application of new technologies to drive change in the real estate sector. The position is remote or hybrid, allowing for flexibility in work location while focusing on strategic solutions for clients and the development of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage industry-changing projects related to sustainability.
  • Work with a team to deliver challenging sustainability projects.
  • Interact with clients and vendors to develop collaborative solutions.
  • Manage project-related documentation and perform research.
  • Conduct weekly meetings and develop reports and memos communicating technical details, processes, and action items.
  • Lead project meetings, charrettes, and presentations.
  • Develop and track sustainability metrics and goals.
  • Complete documentation to achieve green building certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL).
  • Develop technical documentation, proposals, and presentations to clients.
  • Provide written and oral comments and reports to design teams, owners, or contractors.
  • Conduct project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Support project executives on large complex projects and assignments.
  • Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment.
  • Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects.
  • Manage financials on assigned projects (project setup, invoices, AR).
  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years' experience in real estate sustainability, corporate environmental management, or energy efficiency.
  • BA/BS degree in environmental science, engineering, real estate, architecture, or related field with strong academic achievement.
  • LEED AP, WELL AP, and/or Fitwel Ambassador experience preferred.
  • Experience with embodied carbon / sustainable material specification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in project management technology tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with GRESB, CDP, GRI, TCFD, SASB, ENERGY STAR, Building HVAC Systems, International Living Futures Institute, Net Zero, Passive House, Zero Waste.
