About the position

UnityTec is seeking an experienced Task Order Project Manager to oversee a large and complex task order in support of the Defense Logistics Agency's FedMall. This role involves managing project execution, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of federal procurement, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with agency goals, policies, and federal regulations.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to define project scope and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and strategies to enhance platform functionality and user needs.
  • Implement IT governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee release management processes to ensure timely delivery of software updates and enhancements.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between DLA, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in FedMall operations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and project updates to executive stakeholders and members of leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage resources effectively, allocating tasks and tracking project progress.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes to enhance FedMall's functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, improve decision making, and support forecasting.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with IT teams and developers to oversee system upgrades, bug fixes, and new feature implementations.
  • Provide technical support for issues related to FedMall functionality, cybersecurity, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Current PMP or other equivalent/recognized Project or Program Management certification
  • Five (5) years relevant experience in project management
  • Five (5) years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields
  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) or four (4) additional years of related experience
  • Current Secret or Higher Security Clearance

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Familiarity with databases and their integration into project workflows
  • DLA FedMall experience highly preferred
