About the position

The Project Manager at PRG is responsible for the planning and execution of theatrical production events and entertainment projects, focusing on scenic construction. This role requires significant client interaction to tailor project services to meet client visions while ensuring profitability for the company. The Project Manager will oversee the technical, financial, and administrative processes of projects, manage budgets up to $4 million, and ensure all design and quality goals are met. This position also involves collaboration with sales and operations teams, as well as on-site production management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute events and entertainment projects in theatrical production.
  • Manage scenic projects, including technical, financial, and administrative processes.
  • Prepare and define scope of work with clients, including budget, project schedule, and workflow.
  • Consult with clients to resolve aesthetic design and technology issues.
  • Execute on-site production and manage show labor as required.
  • Submit new hire paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner.
  • Balance client creative needs with company profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales to generate and amend quotes and facilitate client billing.
  • Promote job site safety and investigate safety concerns.
  • Identify future revenue opportunities with clients.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Scenic or Automation Project Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PRG asset management software.
  • Expert in budget management and vendor management.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and contracts.
  • Experience in managing crews, budgets, and deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • OSHA 30 card preferred.
