About the position
The Project Manager/Technical Lead for Cybersecurity is responsible for overseeing all contractor work performed under the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This role serves as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), ensuring effective communication and resolution of technical issues. The Project Manager is expected to be available during standard business hours and respond promptly to requests for discussions or problem resolutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all contractor work performed under the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Act as the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR.
- Ensure availability to the COR between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
- Respond to requests for discussion or resolution of technical problems within 24 hours of notification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (B.S./B.A.).
- 6 years of experience in IT security and project management.
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. Federal IT security policies and implementation standards, particularly NIST guidance and FIPS.
- Proficiency in applying IT security concepts, methodologies, principles, and procedures using industry-standard IT security tools.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSNA, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, or CAP.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with the NESDIS mission and major programs.
