About the position

The Project Manager for Kratos Space and Cyber Protection Division will oversee technical project teams focused on various Cyber projects. This role involves managing project baselines, budgets, and technical progress while ensuring customer requirements are met and performance exceeds expectations. The Project Manager will also interface with customers, manage sub-contractors, and deliver effective presentations, all while maintaining a high level of communication and project oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage technical project teams on various Cyber projects.
  • Manage project baselines, tracking and estimating budgets and technical progress for the project.
  • Work with System Design Engineer to provide advice to customers on potential solutions.
  • Properly manage proprietary and classified information and activities.
  • Interface directly with customers to ensure project requirements are met and performance exceeds expectations.
  • Manage sub-contractors and vendors as applicable.
  • Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans).
  • Report on project financial performance and schedule performance to senior management on a monthly basis.
  • Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings (20%).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant project management experience in technology or engineering applications.
  • Required to have at least a Top Secret clearance, with SCI Eligibility.
  • Willingness to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment.
  • Prior experience in Project Management or Technical Leadership roles.
  • Generating and effectively managing funding profiles.
  • Support, build, track, and status project/program schedules.
  • Track and status project/program budget and execution.
  • Experience in leading a technical team comprised of a diverse group of engineers across multiple disciplines.
  • Present programmatic information to team members, management, and customers as appropriate.
  • A self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced execution environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of RF systems.
  • Knowledge and Experience using MS Excel & Word.
  • Knowledge and Experience using PowerPoint.
  • Direct experience managing FFP, T&M, and CP types of contracts.
  • Project Management Certification PMP (desired).
  • Experience with Agile program execution methodologies.
