As a Project Manager in Telecommunications (Fiber Design) at Sigma Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in managing small to large-scale complex fiber design projects from initiation to close-out. This position is fully remote, but new hires will be required to attend a two-week in-person paid orientation and training at our main office in Perrysburg, OH. You will be responsible for liaising between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, accurate reporting, and adherence to project schedules. Your role will also involve maintaining and growing client accounts, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting contractual agreements. In this position, you will lead project planning efforts, establishing and tracking project costs, scope, schedule, and budget. You will create proposals, lead kickoff meetings, and collaborate with project engineers to ensure all phases of projects are executed according to project management processes and corporate governance. You will also be tasked with monitoring project performance, preparing change orders, and maintaining accurate records of client interactions in the CRM system. As a Project Manager, you will ensure the orderly closure of projects, including finalizing all activities, obtaining client acceptance, and conducting post-project evaluations to document lessons learned and share best practices. Your responsibilities will extend to budget management, where you will develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial goals are met. You will identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop risk mitigation plans. Effective communication is crucial, as you will maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and leading project meetings. Additionally, you will build and nurture client relationships, understanding their needs and business objectives, and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional service. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional offerings to existing customers, as well as preparing and delivering presentations and proposals as needed.
