About the position
The Project Manager for Transmission Lines at Black & Veatch Corporation will oversee projects related to high voltage, underground, and overhead transmission lines. This role involves managing project execution, ensuring safety, and interfacing with clients and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility between remote and in-office work, and includes travel to project sites.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote the safety culture within the project team.
- Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals for services and/or EPC work.
- Lead project team in conceptual design and procurement phases of substation projects.
- Manage schedule, budget, and scope of services and/or EPC projects.
- Interface between the client, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Work effectively in both corporate and field environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience or construction management experience.
- Experience with transmission line projects.
- Experience in multiple phases of project execution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a relevant degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE), P.Eng or equivalent professional license.
