About the position

The Project Manager for Underground Construction at Traylor Bros., Inc. is responsible for overseeing daily operations of designated projects, ensuring that goals are met within the specified time frame and budget. This role involves managing project personnel, coordinating activities, and providing technical advice to resolve issues. The position emphasizes safety, performance, and quality in complex underground construction projects, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations including staff oversight.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to meet goals within time and budget constraints.
• Review project proposals to determine time frames, funding limitations, and staffing requirements.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties and responsibilities.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.
• Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as necessary.
• Prepare project reports for management and clients.
• Provide technical advice and resolve problems with project personnel.
• Coordinate project activities with Traylor personnel and joint venture partners.
• Lead the project team and carry out supervisory responsibilities according to policies and laws.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum ten years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum five years of design, project management, and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Underground Construction is required.
• TBM experience is preferred.
