Responsibilities

• Define and establish project scope, schedule, and budget for projects while maintaining quality control.
• Outline project objectives and timelines for completion and communicate them effectively to involved parties.
• Serve as a point of contact with assigned clients through frequent communication and lead project meetings.
• Lead the preparation of civil engineering project proposals.
• Manage staff engineers and technicians, assigning workloads appropriately.
• Communicate project status and performance to executive leadership.
• Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of project documentation and reporting.
• Oversee coordination with clients, outside agencies, and consultants for sub-consultant needs and jurisdictional reviews.
• Provide resolution to client and project issues.
• Responsible for invoicing clients and tracking accounts receivable monthly.
• Act as a team resource on complex engineering issues.
• Develop and grow business relationships with existing client contacts.
• Motivate team members by creating a positive work environment and providing mentoring, coaching, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Deltek.
• Excellent communication and delegation skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage and mentor a team.
