About the position

The Project Manager (Warehouse & Logistics) at Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) is responsible for overseeing project management expertise in warehousing and logistics support services for the Division of Logistics Services (DLS). This role involves managing contract employees, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and facilitating effective communication among team members and stakeholders. The Project Manager will coordinate project tasks, develop project plans, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members while maintaining a close relationship with the client.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities required to receive, store, and distribute facilities-related materials for NIH Institutes and Centers.
  • Manage and supervise contract employees, ensuring adherence to performance standards and administrative requirements.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of employee quality and productivity, providing regular feedback and addressing performance issues.
  • Establish daily communication with the COR and government customer designee to manage workplace issues and reinforce employee commitment.
  • Develop project plans including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to execute project tasks and achieve project goals.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and communication among team members to promote teamwork and problem-solving.
  • Provide administrative support for project-related meetings, ensuring productive discussions and documentation of decisions.
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and risks to senior leadership and stakeholders regularly.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to project team members on project management best practices and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to projects.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of specialized experience in supply and value chain management.
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of supply operations and programs.
  • At least two (2) years of direct supervisory experience.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in acquisition logistics and distribution services.
  • OSHA Certification.
  • Experience in employee training and customer service.
