About the position

The Project Manager for the Water Business in Oklahoma City will oversee small to medium Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) and service projects. This role is pivotal in managing project execution, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and maintaining client satisfaction. The Project Manager will lead multi-discipline teams, coordinate project activities, and drive business development efforts to enhance Black & Veatch's market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of small to medium Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope.
  • Provide for the successful staffing of the project.
  • Manage and lead medium teams of multi-discipline professionals.
  • Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team.
  • Lead team efforts for marketing and strategy development.
  • Prospect identification, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance.
  • Oversight of engineering manager(s) and development of project performance goals.
  • Active involvement with internal project team and owner project representatives on project activities.
  • Perform or assist with the performance and commercial management of projects including budgeting, invoicing, and payments.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership experience in the Oklahoma City market.
  • Professional Engineering License; Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
  • Understanding of budgets and financial metrics.
  • Contract negotiation skills including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
