About the position

The Project Manager for Water/Wastewater at Mott MacDonald will oversee various planning, design, and construction services projects in the New Jersey and New York area. This role involves serving as a deputy project manager on large, complex projects and as a project manager for smaller projects, supervising less experienced project managers. The position emphasizes building and managing client relationships while ensuring the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deputy project manager on large and complex projects with multi-discipline project teams.
• Supervise and direct preparation of plans and specifications for new facilities and rehabilitation of existing facilities.
• Supervise and direct construction engineering support services.
• Build new relationships and manage existing client relationships.

Requirements

• BS degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain in the state of New Jersey or New York within 6 months.
• 5+ years experience in planning, design, and/or construction management of water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects, with substantial focus on public drinking water systems.
• Experience with projects, clients, and regulatory agencies in New Jersey and New York.
• Strong technical skills and technical leadership experience.
• Experience in managing multi-discipline projects.
• Experience in managing and growing client relationships.
