About the position

The Project Manager with Retail Background is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of projects within the retail sector, specifically focusing on infrastructure implementations in data centers and retail environments. This role emphasizes financial management, risk management, and dependency management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope. The position requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to maintain project governance and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end execution and on time, on budget and on scope delivery of the project.
  • Manage financial, risk, and dependency management for the project.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan.
  • Work with the resource manager on resource planning for the project.
  • Maintain the RAAIDD log and escalate issues as required.
  • Collaborate with project accountants for financial management information.
  • Manage changes in project scope, objectives, requirements, and resources, adhering to change control policies.
  • Collaborate with the solution team for change control processes when required.
  • Manage interdependencies and interfaces with related projects.
  • Ensure adherence to release management practices on the project.
  • Accountable for receiving Go-No-Go Signoff.
  • Hold delivery teams accountable for developing architecture design documents, test plans, deployment, and hypercare plans.
  • Set and manage stakeholder expectations and project level governance.
  • Report project status to stakeholders and keep the Portfolio Lead and Program Manager informed of risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Issue communication close out emails and update Clarity and retrospectives after project completion.
  • Issue communications for major changes affecting multiple applications and/or stores.
  • Set vision for the project and resolve issues while protecting the team by negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Follow ADUSA IT processes and ensure all artifacts are produced and phase gates approvals are obtained.
  • Coach and mentor the project team on processes and tools.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of project management experience.
  • Experience in waterfall project management methodology.
  • Experience in infrastructure implementations in data centers and retail environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
