About the position

The Project Manager with SCADA role is a senior-level position focused on overseeing complex SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) projects within the utilities or oil and gas sectors. This position is critical for ensuring that multi-million dollar projects are executed efficiently and effectively, aligning with the strategic goals of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from planning through execution to delivery, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of SCADA technologies, control systems, and programmable logic controls (PLC), as well as strong project management skills to lead cross-functional teams. In this position, the Project Manager will lead the planning and implementation of SCADA projects, collaborating closely with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. The role involves developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, while effectively managing project resources. The Project Manager will coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure flawless execution of projects, which can range in size from $10 million to over $100 million. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, employing risk management techniques to minimize potential project risks. The Project Manager will also establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations. Comprehensive project documentation will be created and maintained, and post-mortem analyses will be conducted to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements, leading to continuous improvement in project management practices. Responsibilities

  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations, and promote best practices in project management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in SCADA or related fields.
  • Strong background in managing multi-million dollar projects, specifically in the utilities or oil and gas sectors.
  • Deep understanding of SCADA technologies, control systems, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controls).
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
