About the position

The Project Manager at Freedom Waterworks is responsible for organizing, managing, and planning complex projects related to research, development, and product implementation. This role involves collaboration with stakeholders to ensure timely project completion, effective delegation of tasks, and direct support for outside sales efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, manage, and plan complex projects for research, development, and product implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise and time constraints.
  • Facilitate the sales process through project management and customer service support.
  • Maintain regular contact with general contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate with production teams, procurement, and shipping/receiving for material management.
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
  • Provide product pricing by consulting with estimation/procurement departments and vendor price lists.
  • Procure and maintain necessary inventory levels for project requirements.
  • Serve in-store customers at the sales counter as assigned.
  • Contribute to add-on sales by maintaining product knowledge.
  • Handle customer inquiries and problem resolution when outside sales are unavailable.
  • Perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.
  • Outline project tasks and delegate accordingly.
  • Conduct cost analysis and prepare project budgets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and report identified risks to management.
  • Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
  • Communicate with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information for new projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Industrial Distribution, Business, or Engineering.
  • At least three years of related experience in project management or sales.
  • Sales/project management experience in the water/wastewater industry preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
  • Experience in the water/wastewater industry.
