About the position

The Project Manager at Heraeus is responsible for leading complex projects within the manufacturing environment, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive project success and align outcomes with the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects related to production across the site.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Identify, develop, and implement appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project tracking and site performance evaluation.
  • Work closely with site managers and other department leads to ensure project outcomes align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Analyze project risks and opportunities and propose action plans to address these effectively.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by initiating and leading quality improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resources and efforts are appropriately aligned.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years' experience in manufacturing operations and/or an engineering environment.
  • Proven experience as a PMO or Project Manager, particularly in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to develop and track relevant KPIs.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient at solving problems in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing methodologies and performance improvement.
  • Advanced degree in Management or a related discipline.
