About the position

The Project Manager will oversee the Company's transmission projects, ensuring effective management of daily operations and transition management to prevent project delays. This role involves reviewing company materials, managing project scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinating with various functional groups and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Review company materials and undergo onboarding training, including shadow sessions and review calls.
  • Manage and direct the daily operation of transmission projects based on the Transmission Project Management Playbook.
  • Identify functional groups related to assigned projects and manage Stage 1 of the business planning process.
  • Lead project meetings such as project kick-offs, weekly status meetings, and coordination meetings.
  • Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable to project baselines and address change orders or revisions as needed.
  • Review and coordinate project scope, schedule, budget, and oversee functional groups including telecommunications, supply chain, settings engineering, Real Estate Right-of-Way (REROW), environmental, corporate communications, EMS, and operations.
  • Report project status weekly and monthly to PMO management, highlighting potential risks and contingency planning.
  • Coordinate construction activities with internal and contract crews and travel to project sites as needed.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and project partners.
  • Ensure proper work order close-out procedure is followed.
  • Prepare financial tracking for projects and submit forecasts for functional groups.
