About the position

The Project Manager at C.E. Floyd Company plays a crucial role in overseeing the entire construction delivery process for commercial projects. This position involves project planning, budgeting, and resource identification, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire construction delivery process from contract award to final project billing and warranty work execution.
  • Maintain consistent documentation and communication with all stakeholders to ensure project progress on time and on budget.
  • Maintain positive client/designer relationships and contribute to the company's marketing efforts.
  • Create master detail schedules utilizing Oracle (POC).
  • Buy out jobs, review, and negotiate subcontracts.
  • Attend client meetings and presentations, traveling to job sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a business-related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct project management experience in commercial construction projects or related experience in a commercial construction environment.
  • Ability to create master detail schedules and experience with Oracle (OPC) scheduling software preferred.
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Office Suite and Procore.
  • Knowledge and experience with construction cost accounting methodology.
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with construction cost accounting methodology.
