About the position

The Project Manager will oversee the planning and execution of large-scale institutional and workplace projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and time constraints. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, and maintaining client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement the standard project planning and monitoring process for all projects.
  • Participate in all phases of large-scale mission critical, institutional, and workplace projects.
  • Manage overall project schedule and develop short-term to mid-term staffing and deliverables schedules.
  • Use Deltek to establish and monitor work plans and project budgets.
  • Analyze financial performance of projects and calibrate work plans accordingly.
  • Participate in marketing efforts including client maintenance and proposal development.
  • Prepare agreements for and administer control of all project consultants.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all design disciplines for scope and deliverables management.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to accomplish successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain staffing projections consistent with project scope and business plan.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to satisfy design review requirements and code compliance.
  • Schedule and coordinate all required design and technical reviews through all project phases.
  • Apply firm-wide best practices and participate in sustainability initiatives.
  • Attend and coordinate project meetings with clients and subcontracted consultants.
  • Manage coordination with architects, general contractors, and other trade partners.
  • Deliver recommendations for utility infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain control over project documentation using project information management software.
  • Oversee construction administration phase of projects and review contractor requisitions and change orders.
  • Review and approve invoices and monitor project accounts payable.
  • Oversee preparation of field observation reports and project closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture (5 year) or foreign equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in project planning and monitoring for large-scale projects.
  • Experience in managing project schedules and budgets.
  • Ability to analyze financial performance of projects.
  • Experience in preparing agreements and managing project consultants.
  • Strong communication skills for managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in coordinating with multiple design disciplines and contractors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Procore, Newforma, PlanGrid, SharePoint, BIM360 or similar software.
  • Knowledge of sustainability initiatives in construction.
  • Familiarity with zoning and entitlement studies.
