About the position

Celerity Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Project Manager for their Northern California utilities team. This role involves coordinating new business projects, managing customer interactions, overseeing billing, and preparing contracts for the installation of gas and electric facilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and executing projects while collaborating closely with the PMO Director and coaching Senior Consultants. This hybrid position requires on-site work in Monterey, CA, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new business project activities including customer contact, billing, and contract preparation.
• Maximize public and employee safety by ensuring compliance with job designs and standards.
• Prepare field sketches and layouts for construction projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and costs from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with various departments to define project objectives and responsibilities.
• Monitor project schedules and prioritize work accordingly.
• Conduct pre-engineering meetings and document pre-construction meetings.
• Communicate project status to all stakeholders and facilitate dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tariffs and maintain orderly project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business or related field.
• At least three years of experience as a Project Manager or in a senior-level role.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to define efficient approaches to data collection and management.
