About the position

As a Project Manager at Sargent & Lundy, you will lead project teams in the execution of engineering projects, primarily associated with Los Alamos National Laboratory and its nuclear facilities. This role involves close coordination with clients, resource planning, and management of project budgets and schedules, providing an opportunity to enhance your skills in design, engineering, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage client interfaces effectively.
• Plan and coordinate resources for project execution.
• Assist in the integration of project participants.
• Manage technical work and track project budget and schedule progress.
• Report project status both internally and to clients.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen; dual citizenship does not qualify.
• Must pass a U.S. Government security clearance check; DOE Q clearance preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program; master's degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking engineering design projects.
• At least 15 years of experience in project management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; strong PC skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise in software tools such as Excel, Primavera/P6, Microsoft Project, and other Microsoft Office software tools.
• Understanding of engineering and technology application in project design.
• Experience in construction planning, oversight, and safety in regulated environments like DOE national laboratories.
• Familiarity with NQA-1 Quality Assurance programs and procedures.
