About the position

The Project Manager at Vinotheque Wine Cellars is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating projects and product launches for a wine cellar cooling unit manufacturer. This role involves overseeing projects from the initial scope phase through to product launch, ensuring effective collaboration across teams, and maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management and team members to define the scope of work and tracking methods for new product launches or system redesigns.
  • Conduct an initial observation period to understand existing project management processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Outline necessary processes to bring products to market, establish timelines, and assign responsibilities.
  • Present progress reports to management and seek clarification to ensure project continuity.
  • Work closely with management, engineering, and marketing teams to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Oversee administrative duties, including report creation, rule enforcement, and procurement of materials or services.
  • Develop and implement work policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Organize reports and maintain thorough records for all projects.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and provide financial updates to management.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with teams to manage expectations and share progress updates.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards through regular audits and assessments.
  • Create and maintain detailed project timelines, tracking key milestones and deadlines.
  • Identify training needs for team members and arrange or conduct training sessions.
  • Implement and oversee change management processes, ensuring all modifications are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Develop a comprehensive handover plan to customer support teams.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience as a project manager.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; technical school certificate or associate's degree acceptable.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration principles.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Ability to analyze data to determine project feasibility.
