About The Position

The Project Manager at Metals & Materials Engineers (MME) is responsible for overseeing multiple high-risk, high-complexity projects in the utility services industry, particularly focusing on stormwater systems, water distribution, and wastewater rehabilitation. This role involves planning, scheduling, and managing project resources to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with standards.

Requirements

• Experience in managing stormwater systems, water distribution, and wastewater rehabilitation systems projects.
• Ability to independently perform project management responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with customers and project teams.
• Proficiency in project management life cycle phases.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple projects through planning and scheduling of work.
• Review and approve tasks related to project management responsibilities.
• Manage the MME relationship with all levels of customer management.
• Ensure service/product quality and conformance to standards.
• Coordinate and direct activities of subcontractors on project teams.
• Serve as primary liaison to customers and provide recommendations for improved processes.
• Make all Project Team members aware of their responsibilities and commitments.
• Develop team behaviors and empower team members to plan and execute work.
• Fulfill all project contractual commitments on time and within budget.
• Establish a system to document and control contractual performance.
• Prepare a detailed project plan and obtain agreement and formal approval.
• Control cost, schedule, risk, and technical variance from the plan.
• Monitor project progress, deliverables, quality assurance, and customer service.
• Report project status to management and the client regularly.
• Maintain a project binder containing all relevant project information.
• Assist in staffing activities related to projects.
• Develop project deliverables including Project Charter, Work Breakdown Structure, and Project Schedule.
