About the position

The Project Manager will oversee project tasks and engineering milestones to ensure timely delivery within budget for development projects, particularly focusing on new orders and contracts. This role requires collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure projects meet quality standards and adhere to company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project tasks and engineering milestones to meet deadlines within the agreed time frame and budget.
• Manage project tasks for development projects, focusing on new orders and new contracts.
• Lead and coordinate technical scope with software engineers, firmware engineers, and electrical engineers.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, meeting the company's quality standards and procedures.
• Partner with engineers to discuss and negotiate design and engineering choices for profitability and scheduled timelines.
• Manage communication between subcontractors, internal partners, and customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, or project engineering for development and R&D projects.
• Experience managing technical engineering partners, specifically with software engineers, firmware engineers, and electrical engineers.
• Direct experience managing budget and schedule, timelines for deliverables, and customer communication.
• Experience in space, aerospace, avionics systems, and defense aerospace.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience with government programs in the space and defense sectors.
