About the position

The Project Manager I at Rosendin is a mid-level position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion, ensuring client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service. This role involves managing several small to medium projects or one large project, providing project management support, and working closely with senior project management to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.
  • Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers.
  • Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact, assessing the scope of work, schedule, and resources necessary for project completion.
  • Prepare a complete estimate for the selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
  • Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project and negotiate them as necessary.
  • Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines.
  • Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests while maintaining good client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry in a Project Management role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and preferably Accubid and Oracle.
  • Effective performance management skills and extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
