About the position

The Project Manager - Construction is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of construction projects, specifically in the telecommunications sector. This role involves overseeing all phases of project management, from initial planning through to completion. The Project Manager acts as a crucial liaison between clients and project team members, ensuring effective communication regarding any changes or issues that may arise during the project. This position requires a strong focus on coordinating all direct communications with clients and contractors to ensure that project goals are met efficiently and effectively. In this role, the Project Manager will oversee all local operations within the assigned market. This includes supervising employees and contractors to ensure the quality of work for fiber drops, both aerial and underground, as well as in-home installations. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating project resources and tracking progress against established timelines and schedules. They will also monitor project progress against key milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators, preparing and delivering comprehensive reports to management. Additionally, the Project Manager will be tasked with selecting, negotiating with, and coordinating the work of various vendors, contractors, or sub-contractors. This requires a keen understanding of the telecommunications industry and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining a focus on quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all local operations in the assigned market, including supervision of employees and contractors.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience.
  • Requires 1+ years of Telecommunications installation experience, and in leadership positions.
  • Fiber drop installation experience preferred.
