About the position

The Project Manager position within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) focuses on facilitating the development of products for rare diseases and conditions. This role is situated in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), specifically in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, and involves coordinating major multi-phase projects that have national impact. The Project Manager will provide expert advice on project operations and resource management, ensuring the quality and efficiency of services related to orphan products development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and integrate the planning, programming, development, oversight, scheduling, and overall management of resources for major multi-phase projects.
  • Provide expert advice related to the design, maintenance, and data within the Admin Apps database to maximize the potential for development of orphan products.
  • Recommend actions necessary to maintain or improve the quality and quantity of project operations and services, including introducing automated systems and operational reorganizations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, including coordinating and integrating planning and development of projects related to rare diseases.
  • Experience providing expert advice related to project design and database management.
