About the position

The Project Manager at Teledyne Technologies is responsible for overseeing the implementation of complex customer contracts, particularly in the manufacturing programs supporting the government and commercial nuclear industry. This role involves budget analysis, labor planning, and coordination of activities between clients and company personnel, ensuring project completion from initiation through delivery while meeting revenue and cost projections. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to quality and cost objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of specific customer contracts involving complex computer-based systems and/or government contracts.
  • Plan, direct, control, and coordinate financial as well as engineering, manufacturing, or QA/QC activities for the program(s).
  • Define operational direction and institute remedial actions to satisfy customer requirements while achieving project-specific sales targets and goals.
  • Monitor programs from project initiation through delivery, interfacing with customers on technical matters.
  • Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the program on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Assess status and risk, generate recovery plans, and meet customer expectations and business objectives.
  • Direct subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure departments within the organization reach goals within budget and a high level of quality.
  • Prepare reports and budgetary recommendations.
  • Establish operational objectives and assignments to subordinate managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience and/or training.
  • Experience working in an engineering, design, manufacturing, and/or QA/QC environment in support of the nuclear industry is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP Software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of ISO, AS9100, and NQA-1 standards.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Experience with specific software for design and analysis.
