About the position

CBRE is seeking Project Managers to lead, oversee, and manage multiple projects for various clients across multiple sectors. This role involves direct client interaction and requires the selected candidate to report to the Connecticut office and visit client sites as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all facets of project management for multiple commercial, high-end renovation projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Read, understand, and apply standard to sophisticated documents affecting real estate projects, including agreements, contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
  • Interface with clients to define project requirements and prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates, budgets, cash flow, work plan schedules, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Identify project delivery resources and conduct standard request for proposals; complete bid analysis and recommend resources to clients.
  • Lead project delivery resources/team providing mentorship and direction to achieve project goals.
  • Track project progress against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and timelines; report status and variances, and craft action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Implement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders.
  • Identify project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers; may lead project teams and/or supervise assignments of lower-level employees.
  • Manage 3rd party project delivery resources/team, identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • Prior experience working with high-end and demanding clients is helpful.
  • Solid track record of managing multiple projects in varying stages simultaneously and the ability to deliver under pressure or in fast-paced environments is helpful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • General knowledge of leases, contracts, construction practices, and the ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
  • Ability to travel to complete site visits as required by client (approximately 20%).
