About the position

The Project Manager will oversee the successful implementation of healthcare-related projects, specifically focusing on the Radiology PACs system. This role involves managing project planning, team performance, stakeholder communication, and vendor relationships while utilizing project management methodologies, primarily Waterfall. The Project Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while also leading process improvement activities and engaging with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the project charter, scope, schedule, budget, and plan.
  • Assemble the project team and manage team performance.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to timelines, resources, and costs.
  • Manage communication across all stakeholders and deliver regular status reports to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Escalate issues and risks to the project sponsor.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

  • 5 years of project management experience within a healthcare delivery setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage as an individual contributor in successful project management and implementation.
  • PMP or similar certification (e.g., Master Certificate in Project Management, Public Health Certification, Informatics Certificate, Prince2).
  • 5 years of experience implementing and managing multiple large-scale programs/projects.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly IT projects in the healthcare delivery domain.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in key performance improvement techniques including current state assessment, KPI development, and workflow mapping/redesign.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of management and project team members.
  • Experience leading teams and people to successfully implement change.

Nice-to-haves

  • AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) certification.
  • ITILv3, Lean, Agile, and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with project management software such as M365, MS Teams, MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Visio, and MS PowerPoint.
