About the position

The Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, managing HVAC/plumbing/process sales, and coordinating field labor needs for projects. This role requires a high level of commitment and discretion in representing the company, ensuring successful project completion through effective management of contracts, budgeting, and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a client base for HVAC/plumbing/process sales.
  • Perform project management functions including concept engineering, estimates, and proposals.
  • Manage contracts, including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.
  • Coordinate field labor and installation sequencing with field leadership.
  • Understand financial aspects of projects, including forecasting and budget control.
  • Provide necessary documentation for business procedures and legal protection.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Lead client meetings and develop contracts to finalize sales.
  • Coordinate project efforts across various departments during construction.
  • Mentor and train sales staff to support department initiatives.
  • Participate in special studies and committees to advance technical abilities.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of HVAC projects ranging from $50,000 to $25+ million.
  • Ability to operate independently and autonomously.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing new business.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills.

  • Experience in community-based organizations.
  • Familiarity with HVAC industry standards and practices.
